What are Sight Words?
Sight words increase a child’s familiarity with high frequency words. The best way to learn sight words is through repetition and word-focused games like this simple Dolch sight word BINGO activity!
The Dolch sight word list is the most commonly used set of sight words developed by Dr. Edward William Dolch in the 1930s to 1940s. The list includes 220 words that comprise 80% of the words that make up a typical children’s book.
