DRAWING DRAGONS FOR DESCENDANTS TOTE BAGS

Let me begin by saying that I am not an artist. I am super creative, but I don’t really draw. If I can do this, you can totally do this too.

I started with a pencil and practiced on paper before touching the bags. I started with some basic black canvas tote bags and I followed the same technique that I did when I made Charlotte’s “Isle of the Lost” Mal costume

After several attempts, I used chalk to draw the dragons onto the bags. Then, I traced the pencil with black puffy paint. I let the puffy paint dry completely before moving on to the next step.

After that, I painted in the purple and the green dragons. I topped them with purple and green glitter for that finishing touch. It was so much easier this way!

After you paint and glitter your dragons, let them dry. I finished off the tote bags by personalizing each of them for the girls and wrote their name in green puffy paint.

The best part of this is that if you are making Mal’s jacket then you only need the canvas bags to do this project too!

The girls loved it and they will use these bags for Halloween this year even though we are going with another awesome family theme! These bags are super cute for dance bags, sleepover bags or for Halloween!
